The best video game series ever continues it’s legacy coming May 23, 2010 The much anticipated Super Mario Galaxy 2 was originally supposed to be launched in December of 2009, however this date was been delayed.

The first Super Mario Galaxy was an instant hit for the Nintendo Wii. For anyone who loved the first installment of Super Mario Galaxy will be sure to love Super Mario Galaxy 2. If you want to be one of the first to get this game on pre-order at amazon.com.

Here are some of the features in Super Mario Galaxy 2:

  • The game offers Comet Metals, which will unlock harder levels with even more challenges which is perfect for advanced players who want to master the game.
  • Just as in Super Mario Galaxy, Mario collects stars when he goes from one galaxy to the next. some of the stars are upside down, or floating around. there are also new levels, but the game still keeps the with the same charm as all of the other Mario games.
  • In different stages of the game, you can find an egg, smash it open and jump onto Yoshi. Just as in all the other Mario games Yoshi can use his tongue to grab items and shoot them back at enemies.
  • It’s funny when he eats a Dash Pepper, when he eats one of those he gets so hot that he can run up vertical walls. also if he eats a Blimp Fruit, he inflates like a balloon and floats to new heights. It’s these nice added touches that makes this game so great.
  • There are now new power-ups which include a drill to tunnel through the surface of a planet that goes through all the way to the other side of a planet.
  • Mario can turn into Rock Mario and roll around like a bowling ball knocking over things in his path
  • Mario can turn into a bee and buzz around.
  • Saw blades can be used for ripping levels apart.
  • Mario can turn into a ghost and fly around.

This game has something for everyone. it has all the classic features you like, it’s easy to pick and play for beginners, has secrets and unlockables for those advanced players, and new elements to the game to make it fresh and entertaining. while the levels and play are fresh and new you still have the familiarity of Mario 64 and Super Mario Galaxy.

6 Hot Wii Games You Don’t Want to Miss

1319054654 26 6 Hot Wii Games You Dont Want to Miss

Mario Kart Wii – if you’ve followed the different Mario Kart games from its inception in 1992 with the Super Nintendo then this game will let you get into the action like never before. You have to hold the controller like it’s a steering wheel. The kart will react to your motions and you’re success will be measured by how well you control yourself. While the graphics are not that much better than it’s Gamecube predecessor, the game play more than makes up for it. You will get caught up in all of the excitement if you give this game a try.

Mario Party 8 – The entire Mario Party collection can be addicting. This is especially true when you involve the motion aspect of the Nintendo Wii. The mini-games will have you belly laughing as you compete with your friends to see who can complete the crazy assignments fastest or the best. The team at Nintendo headquarters assigned to create mini-games for Mario Party must be some of the craziest, off-the-wall people in the world. they are clever too, as most games require a bit of skill to accomplish. Instead of just seeing who can push a button the fastest, this game will see who can move their body the right way too

New Super Mario Bros. Wii – if enjoyed the classic on your very own NES back in the 80′s you’ll love what Nintendo has done to revitalize the series. get super big and stomp your way through the different levels. You’ll love the new graphics as they give everything an almost 3D effect while staying true to its original roots. You’ll also like the ability to go back to the left in case you miss anything on the first pass.

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock – on the Wii this game is great because you can move around like a real rock star while you sing your favorite songs.

Rayman Raving Rabbids – Lots of different games within this game make it a must have for multi-player competitions. You’ll be tested on your coordination as you move through the different levels. This can be really fun to enjoy with other people. on one of the games you have to sync up your rhythm like Dance Dance Revolution.

Wii Sports – even though it comes packaged with the Wii you might overlook it if you buy other games at the same time you buy your Wii. Don’t assume that just because you got it free with the Wii that it’s not fun. When you have friends over it’s a lot of fun to have a bowling party or a baseball game together. if you want to duke it out with your friends you should try boxing.

Party continues with ‘Just Dance 3′

1318791880 81 Party continues with Just Dance 3

Ubisoft is likely tapping its heels over the worldwide success of its Just Dance video game series —now with more than 30 million players, says the company — but fans of the Nintendo Wii franchise can expect even more music and moves in the newly-released Just Dance 3.

And for the first time, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 gamers can get in on the action.

As with its predecessors, Just Dance 3 challenges you to mimic moves of professional dancers in order to rack up as many points as possible. Instead of stepping on a mat as with the once-popular Dance Dance Revolution games, you’ll hold the motion-sensing Wii Remote or PlayStation Move controller in your hand as you dance to the music and unlock new modes and other extras.

Xbox 360 gamers can play using the hands-free Kinect for Xbox 360 peripheral; body moves are captured by the sensors and camera to compare your rhythm against the onscreen dancers, which appear as colorful silhouettes in front of an animated background.

Having played the Nintendo Wii version in the past, I found the Kinect version a lot more fun. you don’t have to hold anything in your hands to play. And a friend or family member can step in front of the television at any time — even during a song — and they’ll automatically join.

Along with earning points for dancing well, you’ll get a quick summary of each move with an “X” (fail), “OK,” “Good” or “Perfect,” and you can earn up to five stars per game. the person with the golden crown over their name means they’re currently the top scorer. Lyrics can also be seen in the lower left-hand corner of the screen, but you’ll be too busy to read them.

The game houses more than 40 tracks to dance along with, spanning a wide range of musical genres, including pop, hip-hop, rock, country, disco, R&B, Bollywood, and Reggaeton.

The selection also folds in songs from the past seven decades, such as Johannes Brahms’ “Hungarian Dance No. 5″ (1950s), Wilson Pickett’s Land of 1000 Dances (1960s), Kiss’s I was made for Loving you (1970s), A-Ha’s Take On Me (1980s), Britney Spears’ …Baby one more Time (1990s), Black Eyed Peas’ Pump It (2000s) and today’s hits like Katy Perry’s California Gurls and Cee Lo Green’s Forget you. more songs will be available via optional download.

The game includes numerous modes — a few new ones and others from past games (like “Simon Says”). Top picks include the revamped “Just Sweat” mode with varying workout plans and playlists and a “Party” mode that keeps the tunes going without needing to select from menus.

The game now supports up to four simultaneous players (though I only tested three for the purposes of this review). the Xbox 360 version offers a “Shout Out!” feature, which lets you score extra points by singing along with the tunes, captured by Kinect’s microphone. you also have the option to create your own unique choreographies and share them online with others.

Be forewarned Just Dance 3 has very basic visuals, with nowhere near the graphical detail seen in other dancing games like MTV Games’ Dance Central series. But the game focuses heavily on the music, modes and taking advantage of the motion-controlling interfaces from the three platforms. If you like past Just Dance games you’ll love Just Dance 3, plus newcomers to this social game series will no doubt fall for its accessibility and charm.

Speaking of music games, you can download a free music book called Music Games Rock: Rhythm Gaming’s Greatest Hits of all Time, written by industry veteran Scott Steinberg and available at MusicGamesRock.com.

Zelda: Skyward Sword Gives Your Wii 50 to 100 Hours of Borrowed Time

No Comments 09 October 2011

1318124140 77 Zelda: Skyward Sword Gives Your Wii 50 to 100 Hours of Borrowed Time

So, what are you going to do with your Nintendo Wii after you finish the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword?

Is there any meaning to the Nintendo Wii after The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword releases?

Well, you’ll allegedly have about 50 to 100 hours to figure it out, as Nintendo of America tweets that the game as a substantially long quest. Long enough to stretch out until the release of the Wii U? Only if it’s coming in Spring. either way, you’ll be spending a lot of time with Link come November. That game must have a lot of Pieces of Heart to find.

As Shigeru Miyamoto claims via NoA’s Twitter:

But maybe we’re being too harsh. after all, Dragon Quest X might be a fresh new start for the archaic franchise, plus Disney Epic Mickey 2, Mario Party 9, and Rhythm Heaven are still in the pipes for the Wii. Personally, I’m most looking forward to those games instead of another boring old Zelda adventure where Link and Zelda don’t seal the deal.

Wii Sports – Tennis

No Comments 19 September 2011

 Wii Sports Tennis

When Nintendo Wii first came out a series of simple games was released at first. One of those simple games that was released was will sports. there is a lot of different sports to choose from. from baseball to bowling, there is something there for everyone. I have tried them all and the one that stood out to me the most was Wii tennis.

Wii tennis is by far my favorite game in the Wii sports series. I can safely say it is also one of my favorite Wii games of all time as well. The concept of the game is very simple. Basically you just hit the tennis ball when it comes near you. The whole point of it is to make your opponent miss the ball or make them hit it out of bounds. it is the same concept as real tennis.

Although this game is very simple on the surface there is a good amount of strategy that goes into it. Firstly your serves need to be timed well in order to get the power serve. a power serve is more likely to throw off your opponent. Also when your hitting in general you need to do it smoothly in order to keep the ball in bounds. One clumsy swing and your opponent gets an easy point. Once you learn that then there is special swinging maneuvers to make the ball have spin on it. it can be a long learning process to become really good.

Wii tennis is great to play for anyone. The game is very easy to pick and start playing. I highly recommend you try this game if you have a Wii.

What Are the Three Biggest Playstation 3 Games Coming in 2010?

What Are the Three Biggest Playstation 3 Games Coming in 2010?

2009 is shaping up to be a big year for the Sony Playstation 3. Sony is already calling this the year that the Playstation is returning to the top of the gaming heap. This is the first year that the PS3 beat the Xbox 360 in sales numbers. it was also the first time, although short-lived, that the Nintendo Wii was knocked from the top of the Japanese gaming charts, again by the Playstation 3.

With some big titles coming up in the fourth quarter of the year, 2009 is looking good for Sony Entertainment.

But the games that are coming this holiday season have been expected for more than a year, so they’re really no surprise. Uncharted 2: among Thieves, Modern Warfare 2, Rock Band: Beatles, Brutal Legend and Tekken 6 are some of the big-name titles that are already on most PS3 owners’ want lists.

But what’s coming after 2009?

Are there any big games that are going to help strengthen Sony’s grip on the market in 2010?

Here are three of the biggest game franchises landing on the PS3, all of which are expected to be blockbuster titles.

1. God of War III (March 2010). God of War has become the flagship property of Sony, and it’s coming to the Playstation 3. The third installment of the series will have Kratos – the God of War – battling forces from the Underworld and the wrath of other gods in worlds at the back of the long-vanquished Titans. yes, ENTIRE worlds on the surface of the back of Titans means this is going to one large-scale game environment. The technical demo showed the camera panning in and out with no apparent loss of framerate, showing Kratos knocking off some monsters in a forest one moment, the back of a Titan the next. This is expected to be one of the biggest selling games of 2010, and is in the early running for the Game of the Year (GOTY).

2. Final Fantasy XIV (2010, right after FF XIII is released). Final Fantasy XI was the first true MMORPG of the series. It’s been seven years since its release, and it still boasts over 2 million active subscribers – a number that is looked at with envy by most of the more advanced MMORPGs of today. The next entry in the FF franchise is scheduled for 2010. Final Fantasy XIV Online is planned to be exclusive on the PS3.

3. Heavy Rain. This PS3 game really shows off the technical power of the Playstation 3, with some of the most impressive graphics ever seen in a video game. It’s a story-driven game that puts you in the shoes of a detective investigating a mystery that has ramifications for all existence. Heavy Rain is another one of the most highly anticipated PS3 titles for 2010.
