The short-film prequel to Assassin’s Creed II will arrive on the same day as Assassin’s Creed: Revelations.

Just in case the arrival of Assassin’s Creed: Revelations wasn’t enough to make November 15 special, the impressive 2009 short film Assassin’s Creed: Lineage will also be available for purchase on the same day.

That’s the word according to a new listing on Amazon, which has Lineage available for pre-order with an $8.99 price tag.

Originally released back in 2009, Lineage served as a prequel to Assassin’s Creed II, and told the story of Giovanni Auditore, the father of the game’s main character, Ezio Auditore da Firenze. the three-chapter film was directed by Canadian filmmaker Yves Simoneau, and produced by Assassin’s Creed developer Ubisoft.

The well-received film featured many of the same voice actors as the Assassin’s Creed franchise, and featured the work of 300 and Sin City digital effects team Hybride Technologies.

1319270632 32 Super Mario Galaxy 2 The Time Has Finally Come

The best video game series ever continues it’s legacy coming May 23, 2010 The much anticipated Super Mario Galaxy 2 was originally supposed to be launched in December of 2009, however this date was been delayed.

The first Super Mario Galaxy was an instant hit for the Nintendo Wii. For anyone who loved the first installment of Super Mario Galaxy will be sure to love Super Mario Galaxy 2. If you want to be one of the first to get this game on pre-order at amazon.com.

Here are some of the features in Super Mario Galaxy 2:

  • The game offers Comet Metals, which will unlock harder levels with even more challenges which is perfect for advanced players who want to master the game.
  • Just as in Super Mario Galaxy, Mario collects stars when he goes from one galaxy to the next. some of the stars are upside down, or floating around. there are also new levels, but the game still keeps the with the same charm as all of the other Mario games.
  • In different stages of the game, you can find an egg, smash it open and jump onto Yoshi. Just as in all the other Mario games Yoshi can use his tongue to grab items and shoot them back at enemies.
  • It’s funny when he eats a Dash Pepper, when he eats one of those he gets so hot that he can run up vertical walls. also if he eats a Blimp Fruit, he inflates like a balloon and floats to new heights. It’s these nice added touches that makes this game so great.
  • There are now new power-ups which include a drill to tunnel through the surface of a planet that goes through all the way to the other side of a planet.
  • Mario can turn into Rock Mario and roll around like a bowling ball knocking over things in his path
  • Mario can turn into a bee and buzz around.
  • Saw blades can be used for ripping levels apart.
  • Mario can turn into a ghost and fly around.

This game has something for everyone. it has all the classic features you like, it’s easy to pick and play for beginners, has secrets and unlockables for those advanced players, and new elements to the game to make it fresh and entertaining. while the levels and play are fresh and new you still have the familiarity of Mario 64 and Super Mario Galaxy.

Nintendo continues on the legacy of the greatest Video game series made. make sure you get your hands on this one

Sony PlayStation Move not dead yet, Here are the new Games for the Holidays

No Comments 28 September 2011

Microsoft managed with the introduction of Kinect to enable more than just motion gaming. Kinect is now a platform that finds uses beyond gaming. Sony’s popsicles controllers look just lame compared to what Microsoft did with Kinect. I am not sure if new games will help push significantly more PS3 owners to get the Move controllers. Sony announced that more than 80 titles are released or under development for the PlayStation Move PlayStation Move software titles currently scheduled for release during the holiday season exclusively for the PS3 computer entertainment system include: Everybody Dance, Carnival Island, EyePet & Friends, and Medieval Moves: Deadmund’s Quest. in addition, SCEA announced that LittleBigPlanet™ 2 Move Pack: Rise of the Cakeling, inFAMOUS 2 and inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood will offer PlayStation Move support.

You can find the details about each game below. Buy or pre-order the new Move games on Amazon.

Everybody Dance – October 18

Everybody Dance delivers a high-energy dance experience set to a soundtrack of 40 chart-topping party hits including “Party Rock Anthem” by LMFAO, “Rude Boy” by Rihanna and “Barbra Streisand” by Duck Sauce. Players can put their dancing skills to the test using the PlayStation®Move motion controller and PlayStation®Eye camera to track and score their moves. Everybody Dance gives players the option to hit the dance floor solo, grab a friend for a cooperative Partner Routine, compete in a Dance Battle, or invite up to 19 additional players over for the ultimate dance-off in Party Play mode., Players can also choreograph custom dance routines and then challenge their friends to score against their moves with Dance Creator. those who want to share their performances with even more friends can upload video highlights and photos to their social networks on Facebook and Twitter.

Carnival Island – November 15

Carnival Island invites you to take a trip to a magic carnival and experience the joy of classic family-friendly fun with 35 carnival attractions.  Utilizing the PlayStation®Move controller’s precise tracking technology, every toss, roll, throw, spin and slam is translated directly into the game for accurate and responsive gameplay.  by completing challenges, players can create their own cheering squad consisting of lovable pets throughout their experience.  Players can also have fun by interacting with fun house mirrors, photo cut-outs and upload snapshots of their experiences directly onto the XMB™ (XrossMediaBar) to send to a PlayStation®Network friend.  in addition to its enchanting single-player mode, Carnival Island is the perfect ingredient for family game night, featuring a fantastically fun party mode, which supports up to four players at once, for play with one or two Move motion controllers.

EyePet & Friends – November 15

EyePet is back and this time he’s got company: two pets with one enjoyable augmented reality experience right in your living-room. EyePet & Friends is a continuation of the innovative EyePet franchise which enables kids and their families to experience the magic of a virtual Pet in the real world!  it combines new technologies and gameplay, and takes both camera-based games and the Pet genre to a completely new level. The introduction of the second EyePet allows for all-new interactive activities and mini-games that bring kids and families together. The game also features exciting new items and modes that encourage kids to express their creativity by fully customizing their EyePets’ appearance and play areas.

inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood – October 25

Take another journey with Cole MacGrath as he strives to save New Marais from a fast spreading infection. Bitten by a vampire, our hero has only one night to find and destroy her-before he and New Marais succumb to the infection. Taking place within the inFAMOUS 2 universe, the brand new adventure introduces new enemies and re-imagines New Marais into a darker, gritty city, with new dangers lying in wait. Cole doesn’t enter the foray unarmed however.  inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood amps up Cole’s super-powered arsenal with exciting new abilities to help fight back the vampire hordes.

inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood brings with it PlayStation Move support, allowing players to experience what it’s like to wield electricity with the precise motion control of PlayStation Move. The single-player expansion will be available October 25 for $14.99 on PlayStation®Network and the original inFAMOUS 2 disc is not needed to enjoy inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood. also coming October 25 is Move support for inFAMOUS 2, via a free-of-charge automatic game update. LittleBigPlanet 2 Move Pack: Rise of the Cakeling – September 13

The LittleBigPlanet 2 Move Pack combines the PlayStation Move motion controller with the world of LittleBigPlanet, and with five giant story levels and seven side levels, this is LittleBigPlanet’s biggest Downloadable Content (DLC) pack to date.  it features a new story mode – The Rise of the Cakeling – in which a rogue cake threatens doom and destruction, and you Sackfolk must once again attempt to restore peace to Craftworld. This time though you’ll have a brand new toy to make things easier, The Brain Crane—a new power up that allows you to control objects with the power of your mind. There is also a new suite of powerful gadgets for use with PlayStation Move allowing players to create their own PlayStation Move games, record fluid motions, and paint their own stickers, while a boatload of new stickers, materials, decorations, costumes, music, sound and sequencer objects will vastly broaden your creative palette, and make your Popit burst at the seams. Best of all, the Move Pack brings backwards compatibility with LittleBigPlanet 2, meaning you can play though all of the original story levels, and all five million community levels using the Move controller, not to mention the thousands of new games and levels that are bound to be created using the Move controller, all equating to endless fun for players.  The LittleBigPlanet 2 Move Pack is available for download only via the PlayStation Network for $9.99.

Medieval Moves: Deadmund’s Quest – November 15

From the same team that brought you Sports Champions, the best selling PlayStation® Move title, Medieval Moves: Deadmund’s Quest combines sword fighting, archery and throwing stars in a playful action-adventure!  Medieval Moves: Deadmund’s Quest is a non-stop action adventure specifically designed for the PlayStation® Move!  The evil Sorcerer Morgrimm has invaded Prince Edmund’s Castle and plots to take over the kingdom, raising an army of skeletons from beyond.  now, let the adventure begin as you battle Morgrimm, and his minions, to restore order to the kingdom!

Swing your sword to counter attack an enemy, reach back to your quiver for an arrow to aim a pinpoint accurate shot or toss a barrage of throwing stars with the kind of true angle, speed and precision that is only available on Playstation®Move.

Available exclusively for the PlayStation 3 system, the PlayStation Move offers an innovative gaming experience by using realistic, high-definition gaming along with accurate, intuitive control. The PlayStation Move platform includes the motion controller, navigation controller and the PlayStation Eye camera, which all work together to track player position and movement for such realistic gameplay that the player feels as if he is in the game.

1317027966 87 Just Dance Kids 2 is officially confirmed, incl. release date, trailer and screens

Over a month ago we’ve spotted on Amazon three new Kinect games and one of those games was Just Dance Kids 2. it turns out that the rumor was true, at least for the dancing game, as this week Ubisoft confirmed that Just Dance Kids 2 will be coming to Kinect on 25th October, 2011. unfortunately, the release date was announced for North America only so it’s not clear whether the game will be released on the other continents as well.

Check out the game details and Kinect-only features that Ubisoft mentioned in the press release . On top of these we’ve got the trailer and a bunch of screenshots.

(sections from the press release)

Developed by Land Ho!, Just Dance Kids 2 will feature more than 40 new songs, including today’s hottest hits, such as “love Me,” “Whip My Hair,” “Just The Way you Are,” and popular songs from kids’ favorite TV shows and movies. in addition, the game includes mixes of classic kids songs like “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” and “The Hokey Pokey” in several languages.

Just Dance Kids 2 provides families and kids of all ages with exciting new features building upon those elements that first made the game a success.  The game will get kids active and moving while bringing the entire family together, laughing and dancing in their living rooms.

- Tony Key, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Ubisoft North America

Created with kids and families in mind, the game boasts colorful and lively graphics, super fun dance moves and easy-to-follow kid-friendly gameplay. The choreography will have players dancing to covers of such hits as “Burnin’ Up,” “Barbara Ann,” “Shake your Groove thing,” and the YouTube hit song, “I am a Gummy Bear (The Gummy Bear Song).”

All three platforms feature a brand-new game feature called Nonstop Shuffle, where players can play the game for designated periods of time of 15, 30, 60 or 120 minutes without having to push any buttons or navigate through menus for non-stop play.

The Kinect for Xbox 360 version of Just Dance Kids 2 will allow kids to play without using a controller, star in their own music videos, and create and save their own dance routines to challenge friends and family members.

Kinect space saver on its way • reghardware

No Comments 03 September 2011

The problem with Xbox Kinect – aside from a decent range of top-drawer titles – is the inability to play without a large living room and yards of space.

Gaming accessories manufacturer Nyko seeks to change all that, though, with this badboy accessory.

The Nyko Zoom for Kinect reduces the space required to play Kinect by up to 40 per cent. by my calculations, that means the recommended distance required to stand away from the sensor can be lowered from 8ft to under five.

nyko 1 Kinect space saver on its way • reghardware

The Zoom clips on top of the sensor without any modification and effectively makes Kinect look the wrong way through a pair of binoculars.

It also comes bundled with iBoutique Zoom Lens Cleaner, a brush-like device of which the name is fairly self explanatory.

The Nyko Zoom will see its UK release on 31 August. Amazon is now taking pre-orders for £36. ®
